In the beginning, there was nothing but the dirt upon the earth.  Life was barren save for the few ferny plants that could withstand the ever-present Sun.

There was barely anything; the land was composed solely of dirt, sand, and rocks.

By some seeming miracle, the skies opened up, and rain poured upon the earth.....
leaving mud and rocks.  But wait! the rocks appear to be changing.  They are melting away in the near boiling humidity.  They are not rocks but....
Eggs! Yes the eggs have hatched as a result of the storm and have loosed dinosaurs upon the world.

They roam the infertile plains and clamber over the rocky hills.  They are monsters, great lizards released from their trapping encasement to roam free upon the lands.  Peacefully, the triceratops and stegosaurus live off of the meager vegetation the earth has to provide, but not all are so civil.
BEHOLD! The mighty tyrannosaurus as she stalks the land hungrily.  Feeding upon the flesh of the other dinosaurs, she carries not for their cries and roars, only for the deliciousness of their sweet, crunchy flesh.

In short, I am back and now have dinosaur oatmeal in my room.  It's oh so exciting!  I was able to serve one of my roommates her first ever bowl of oatmeal as a result.  Did I mention there are dinosaurs!  Anyway, I'm back and will hopefully get back to blogging on a regular basis.  Winter break was nice, but now it's over and I have started culinary labs.  There is so much to tell, including some abandoned posts from as far back as halloween that will come out within the next couple of weeks and of course all my fancy new culinary adventures.  Wish me luck in making this blog work and hope to write to whoever is actually reading this soon!
